Looking for a chai with a twist? You’ve found it. This caffeine-free loose leaf blend contains plenty of turmeric that brews a beautiful golden color and adds an earthy punch. You’ll also taste spice-forward notes from the traditional chai spices. This dreamy yet fiery turmeric tea with black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and clove is both soothing yet lively.
What is chai tea? Chai is the Indian word for tea, but as they usually drink tea with sugar and milk in India, chai has become synonymous with milk tea. From there, the definition of chai has evolved even further; now we think of chai as a mixture of black teas with milk, sugar, and spices like allspice, ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon. Our Golden Turmeric Chai loose leaf tea combines chai spices with turmeric, to make a caffeine-free version that’s pure gold.

I love this recipe. I usually add in a little more fresh ginger and honey for a little more sweet and spice. Add in some more lemon and whiskey and you have yourself a nice little homemade theraflu concoction.
Just what I expected. Tumeric with the special addition of spices. Perfect for a chilly fall night.
Nice extra spice to add to my tea. Mixing teas and adding flavors is fun!
